Offshore Allies was founded on a simple belief: real change isn’t just about removing plastic from a beach — it’s about inspiring young people to see the impact of pollution firsthand and become lifelong stewards of the environment. Our mission is to use the ocean as a classroom, the voyage as a teacher, and direct experience as the catalyst for lasting change.
How we make that happen
Experiential Impact
25+ crew members live, work, and learn aboard a 100-foot catamaran — witnessing the effects of pollution up close, and discovering how collective action creates real change.
Community Empowerment
Living aboard a sailboat allows our group to travel to the hard-to-reach corners of the world, impossible to get to by plane or car. We then partner with coastal communities to support projects that build resilience and sustainability while cleaning up the environment

Meet Pedro Giani — Co-Founder & Visionary
Pedro spent years building one of Mexico’s most beloved hostel communities — growing it to over four locations and cultivating a global network of travelers and adventure seekers. His love for people, travel, and connection eventually brought him to the ocean.
Now, Pedro is stepping down from his role running the hostels to dedicate himself fully to Offshore Allies — because he believes that the next generation deserves a world worth exploring, and the best way to protect it is to inspire those who will inherit it.

At the heart of Offshore Allies is a one-of-a-kind catamaran designed to host 25+ volunteers from around the world — people drawn by adventure, shared values, and a desire to give back. Together, they will travel to remote and often untouched coastlines, engage with lesser-known communities, and participate directly in conservation and education efforts.
Life onboard will be immersive and communal. Volunteers live, work, and learn side by side — sharing responsibilities, contributing their unique skills, and experiencing daily life at sea through fishing, teamwork, and stewardship of the ocean they depend on.
Those who join don’t just leave having helped — they return home with new confidence, deeper environmental literacy, and a lasting sense of responsibility. They become advocates, leaders, and stewards who carry this mission forward long after the sails are lowered.
